The Big Boss as he was fondly called, passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, June 8, 2016, according to his relatives and close associates. “He was not ill at all, never showed any signs of illness, but we suspect he never got over the death of his wife,” one of his close friends said. Reacting to his death, Chelsea legend and former Ivorian skipper, Didier Drogba said the football world has just lost a legend. Capture-keshi-drogba In a touching tribute posted on his Instagram page, Drogba recounted his last and only moment with Stephen Keshi in 2013. He said: “Another painful news, was shocked when I saw that another Legend died. “I’ve met him in 2013 when we played against Nigeria and I understood why he was going to take his time to succeed that year after beating us in quarter final. “The Man had this special thing, this aura that makes people follow you trust you and let them guide you…he was a Leader. True inspiration for African football. “We miss you Captain Keshi!!!
